Triangle Indent Cylinder
How the Indent Cylinder Works – Advanced Length-Based Seed Separation
As the product enters the rotating cylinder, the seeds are evenly distributed across the inner surface, which is lined with precision‑engineered circular indents. These indentations are designed to capture and hold grains that match a specific length profile. Longer grains that cannot fit into the indents remain on the cylinder’s surface and are carried toward a separate discharge outlet, effectively separating them from the shorter or correctly sized seeds.
During rotation, the seeds that are correctly captured in the indents are gently lifted and then released into an internal screw conveyor chamber. This controlled transfer ensures minimal damage to the seeds while maintaining high separation efficiency. From this stage, the separated material can either be directed to another cylinder for further sorting of shorter particles—such as broken grains or round seeds—or transferred directly to the next machine in the processing line.
Additional Features and Benefits
The indents are manufactured to precise tolerances, ensuring reliable performance across a variety of seeds and grains.
The machine’s rotational speed and tilt angle can be adjusted to optimize separation for different product types, including pulses, wheat, barley, sesame, and other specialty seeds.
Multi‑stage operation allows for progressive grading: longer grains are separated first, followed by finer classification of smaller fractions, resulting in a cleaner, more uniform final product.
Designed for continuous operation with high throughput, making it suitable for large‑scale processing facilities.
By integrating an Indent Cylinder into your processing system, you gain the ability to sort products by length with exceptional accuracy, improve overall product quality, and increase the market value of your finished goods.
